Disney Cruise Ship unable to set sail with passengers stuck on board

Disney has developed its Cruise Line a lot over the past few years. What started with Disney Magic in 1996 has grown into an entire fleet of five ships, including Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy and now Disney Wish, which was introduced this year.

So far, sailing aboard the five ships has been smooth as guests explore and have fun discovering all there is to discover on each ship.

However, a ship recently had trouble leaving the dock for an unexpected reason.

Yesterday we learned that passengers aboard the Disney Wonder were in fact stranded and had their departure times delayed due to issues with local tug companies. There was apparently a strike with the tug companies which meant the ship had no choice but to stay alongside until the problem was resolved.

This was confirmed in a Tweeter by Brooke Geiger McDonald (@BrookeGMcDonald), a passenger on the ship:

An announcement from the captain said Disney Wonder’s departure from Vancouver has been delayed due to a local tug strike, but no one on board is bothered by the delay.

Hopefully all these issues will soon be resolved and the boat will be able to sail again!
