Disney Dream cruise ship will visit Dorset for the first time on a UK cruise

The Disney Dream cruise ship will visit Dorset as it marks its first season in Europe by sailing in UK waters next summer. It will allow fans of many iconic characters to get up close and personal on a memorable journey.

Disney Cruise confirmed during the 2023 schedule that the ship will make a maiden voyage to Britain. It will sail to Greenock, with stops during a seven-night cruise in Belfast, Liverpool, Cork and Portland.

Southampton’s trip is advertised on the Disney Cruises website with prices from £3,289 for two people. Dates are TBC but tickets go on sale May 9, although an early sale begins May 2.

With sailings lasting from four to 11 nights, the Disney Dream, which can accommodate up to 4,000 passengers, will also sail from Barcelona and Rome to scenic ports of call across the Mediterranean, including a whole first seven-night sailing to the Greek islands. with calls at the ever-popular ports of Santorini and Mykonos.

Late summer and fall departures from Southampton’s Disney Dream will include cruises to a host of destinations including Spain, France, the British Isles, Norway and Iceland. First launched in October 2010, the ship features a number of Disney-themed bars and restaurants, swimming pools, and a variety of cabins.

The news comes as Disney Magic will return to Portland Port later this year on September 12 as part of a seven-night British Isles cruise from Dover.
