Lamido’s son chooses governmental form in Jigawa

Mustapha Sule Lamido, the son of a former governor of Jigawa State, chose his gubernatorial nomination form to allow him to pursue his ambition.

The development comes barely a week after he officially declared his intention to contest the governorship of the state.

In a statement made available to reporters, one of his aides, Mansur Ahmed, said a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr Nuruddeen Muhammad, had led a large delegation of supporters to the national headquarters of Wadata House of the People’s Democratic Party. (PDP) to purchase the gubernatorial nomination and expression of interest form for Lamido.

National Finance Secretary Daniel Woyengikoro said in a statement that he had handed over the forms, electoral guidelines, party constitution, timetable and list of documents required for the selection to Dr Nuruddeen.
