Star Trek: PicardThe final season of will certainly be exciting, as the cast The next generation brings together for what could be their last on-screen adventure together. So far we have saw updated looks for the characters like Worf, Beverly Crusher, and Geordi La Forge, and learned a few details about what’s to come in Season 3. Now, thanks to the new trailer released to celebrate Star Trek Day, we’ve got our first look at a familiar ship that the crew will use for their voyage, even if it will not be the Company as one might expect.
The trailer moment in question shows Jean-Luc Picard by Patrick Stewart and Riker by Jonathan Frakes stopping on a magnificent Starship which Riker welcomes with a certain enthusiasm. Maybe it’s because it’s a ship he knows quite well: the USS Titan.
For those who don’t know, the Titan is the Luna Federation-class starship that Riker became captain of after his time on the Company. Riker transferred to the craft alongside his wife and GNT member of the crew, counselor Deanna Troi. The ship itself was mentioned in Star Trek Nemesisand was first featured in Lower decks when Boimler was briefly transferred to a position under Riker’s command. Take a look at the ship in live-action for the first time below:
Perhaps more interesting about this reveal is that Picard and Riker are welcomed aboard by a commander already on the ship, Seven of Nine. Star Trek: Picard previously revealed in Season 2 that Seven joined the Fenris Rangers because Starfleet wouldn’t allow her membership when she returned with Traveler originally. It seems his heroism and labors in Season 2 earned him a rank of Commander aboard the Titan.
For those wondering about the Companyrest assured that we already have confirmation that The next generation the crew will set foot there at one point. Granted, co-showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Terry Matalas haven’t said much more about how he’ll be involved beyond that, so there are still plenty of Season 3 secrets to reveal.
Speaking of revelations, it looks like Picard’s journey begins with a distress message from Beverly Crusher. Bev is armed in the episode, so it seems like the situation she finds herself in is one that puts her and potentially many other people in danger. Hopefully Picard and his friends can reach her in time and together they can all save the day at least once more.
Star Trek: Picard fans will notice plenty of familiar faces in this latest trailer, though a few are missing. We learned at the end of season 2 that many main cast members were written off to pave the way for the return. GNT actors, so don’t expect to see actors Isa Briones, Alison Pill or Orla Brady in the next batch of episodes. Hell, we won’t even see Wil Wheaton reprise his awesome role as Traveler, but even so, this latest trailer gives hope that there’s still a great story to tell. If you are a GNT fan, now would be the time to get it Paramount+ Subscription!
