The new cruise ship will have an outward-facing pool deck

A cruise line has unveiled features that will be on its new cruise ship debuting next year, including an outward-facing pool deck and a sky bar with panoramic views from the rear of the ship.

Silversea Cruises’ new ship debuting in 2023, Silver Nova, will be built with a revolutionary asymmetrical design that will offer new outdoor spaces, including an outward-facing pool deck.

Silver Nova’s pool decks will be the main outdoor spaces for guests to relax, cool off and socialize, with enough space for 280 loungers on decks 10 and 11. The horseshoe-shaped pool will occupy generous space on the starboard side of the cruise. ship, offering stunning views of the destination from the swimming pool, adjacent pool bar and sunbathing areas.


At 1,400 square feet, the main pool will be the largest in the cruise line’s fleet, redesigned with a new layout, wide entry steps and shallower waters for guests to sit in. Deck 10’s pool bar offers a centralized hub for socializing, day or night.

The highest level of the cruise ship, Deck 11, forms an amphitheater-like structure with Deck 10. It will provide passengers with a quieter and more intimate space to relax, with unobstructed views of the destination and the the sea. At its center, overlooking the port side of the ship, is a brand new infinity hot tub, named The Cliff Whirlpool.


The cruise ship’s asymmetrical design has also enabled the introduction of two new dining and drinking areas on deck 10. The marquee is the first of the pair, positioned towards the stern of the ship on the port side and benefiting from a sea view.

The al fresco dining area will seat up to 220 guests, incorporating The Grill and Spaccanapoli, two of Silversea’s existing signature venues, which offer guests the cruise line’s ‘hot rocks’ culinary concept and arguably the best pizza at sea, respectively.

Due to its proximity to the pool, The Marquee will welcome guests into a relaxed atmosphere, serving casual fare by day and dining under the stars by night.
